We are looking for data scientists with experience in Computational Biology and/or Statistical Genetics to lead the application of novel mathematics (Taxonomy3®) to big genetic datasets. You will be responsible for generating novel genetic insights with the aim of identifying novel drug targets in complex disorders.
The roles are based in C4X Discovery’s new central London facility. To succeed in this position, you will need a degree (or equivalent) in Genetics, Bioinformatics or Statistics and experience in mining big genetic datasets, together with a high level of self-motivation, flexibility and organisational skills.
At C4X we are building an exciting drug discovery portfolio by bringing together experimentally determined small molecule NMR solution conformational data, X-ray crystallographic data, small molecule modelling and structure-based drug design. We are actively building a team of programmers to work on this exciting project bringing game engine visualisation to the corporate world of Drug Discovery. We will be using the Unreal Engine with 3rd party and proprietary tools to produce cutting edge systems to visualise molecules in 3D and VR.

C4X Discovery is currently looking to extend its team of drug hunters with talented, highly motivated medicinal chemists with industry experience to grow the teams located in Manchester and London. You will lead the scientific direction of one or more drug discovery projects and will be responsible for the design of innovative chemical series. You will also have the unique opportunity to generate novel insights into the conformational behavior of molecules and the underlying guiding principles of conformational control. We are looking for talented researchers who have recently acquired a PhD in solution-state NMR. This is an exciting opportunity for scientists with an analytical mind and a high level of problem-solving skills and the capability to work in small, multidisciplinary teams. You will use the company’s proprietary “Conformetrix” technology to determine the solution conformational behaviour of molecules from NMR data and apply the learning from these data to understand and manipulate the drivers of molecular conformation. These analyses underpin the design of novel drug candidates in the C4X Discovery engine.
